So the girls and I joined my mom on her yearly trip to Mexico. We stayed with my family in Tecoman, Colima which is about an hour south of Manzanillo. It was very interesting staying in a house with no hot running water and no air conditioning. When we got there it was humid and very hot and even though we had a fan it still gave very little relief. Gianna ended up with fevers for four days and a pretty bad cough, luckily we had a doctor around the corner and I was able to get her some medicine. Violetta loved the little manzano bananas, she would eat three every day, granted they are small but all she had to do was see them and she would scream so I would get her more. She ate pretty much everything I gave her, sopes, enchiladas, scrambled eggs with ham and ice cream. Gianna on the other hand was the complete opposite. The girls and I did "escape" to Manzanillo for a day to stay in a nice hotel, take some warm showers and enjoy the ocean and pool. We were very lucky the weather got more bareable as the week went on. I bought a walker for Violetta to use and she just walked all over the house in the walker. It was so much fun to take Gianna to meet all our family and to take her to the places where I used to go to every year growing up. I took her to the mercado or market and she loved all the knick knacks and toys and if it was up to her we would have bought half of the mercado. I hope we get to go again but next time with Geoff.
