Disneyland has a fun trick or treating party at California Adventure during October. They have the park decorated for Halloween, they have music playing at the entrance and they set up trick or treat stations through out the park. My friend Deidra and I decided it would be fun to take the girls for a fun night. Violetta spent most of the night dancing with the characters at the entrance while Gianna loved getting all the candy and treats. By 10pm Violetta was still dancing even though you could see it in her eyes that she was tired. We all had a great time and it gave us a chance to wear our halloween costumes. This is always such a fun time of the year.
In early September, Geoff, the girls and I drove up to Paradise, CA just north of Sacramento to attends Geoff's cousin Scott's wedding. He was the last of the Mordock cousins to get married. It was such a beautiful wedding, just perfect for all the family. It was at a park in Paradise and during the ceremony among all the tall beautiful trees we sat and witnessed Scott marry Gretchen. The creek in the background just added to the beauty and nature of the ceremony. The kids all had a blast running around the park while the adults enjoyed themselves. I finally got to meet the Mordock side of the family and everyone was so nice and welcoming. We headed over to Aunt Carol's house after the ceremony and got to witness the real beauty of Paradise, she has a clear view of all the valley. I could have spent the whole day there just enjoying the peace and beauty of it. Gianna loved Aunt Carol's house because inside she has an amazing collection of dolls and teddy bears, it's every little girl's dream. We also got to go to cousin Laura's house where both Geoff and Gianna got to ride on one of their horses. It was such a fun weekend and it was nice to get to meet everyone.
